About Kazan Kremlin Museums
The Kazan Kremlin combines tenth-century Tatar foundations with the citadel built by Ivan the Terrible after 1552. It became a museum reserve in 1994 and a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2000.
Its institutions include the Hermitage-Kazan exhibition centre, the Museum of Islamic Culture inside the Qol Sharif mosque, and the Centre 'Ermitazh-Kazan' showing rotating treasures from Saint Petersburg.

Preventable blindness, caused by conditions like cataracts and trachoma, affects people of all ages across the world's poorest communities. A small gift — for the cost of a museum ticket — can provide a simple surgery to restore someone's sight and transform their life.
