About Mathaf: Arab Museum of Modern Art

Mathaf opened in 2010 in a refurbished former school in Education City. Its collection began with the personal acquisitions of Sheikh Hassan bin Mohamed bin Ali Al Thani.

The museum holds more than 9,000 works tracing Arab modernism from the late nineteenth century to today.
